Timers
Chained countdown sequences for cooking, workouts or focus blocks. One step rolls straight into the next.
Prove you’re awake.
Most alarms and reminders can be swiped away without moving. Orbit Alarm’s can’t. Stick a code where the task happens (the bathroom, the kettle, your desk), and the way to switch the alarm or task off is to get up, go there and scan it.

If starting things is the hard part
Task paralysis, executive dysfunction, time blindness: if any of those are familiar, you already know that knowing what to do isn’t the problem.
So Orbit Alarm makes the first step a physical one. Put a code on the kettle, the washing machine or your desk, link it to an alarm or a task, and it keeps going until you get up, walk to it and scan it. By the time you’re standing there, you’ve already started.

The wake-up mission
Switch on Oversleeping Countermeasures and pick a challenge for each alarm: meeting-day one brutal, the lazy-Sunday one gentle. Which one suits you?
Get out of bed and scan a code you registered earlier: the toothpaste, the kettle, or one of our free printed labels.
Solve a real equation, not tap a button that says “yes, I’m awake.”
Physically move the phone until the counter is satisfied.
Tap the screen a set number of times, from 10 to 100. The lightest of the four.
Barcode tasks
Most reminder apps let you tick a task off from the sofa. In Orbit Alarm, a task can need a scan instead. Put a barcode on the thing itself, and the reminder only clears when you’re standing next to it.
Scan the jar, and you’re already holding it.
Scan the toothpaste on your way past the sink.
A label on the bin, and it actually goes out.
A label by the front door for keys, bag and lunch.
A barcode task fills the screen and keeps chiming at full volume until you scan it. If you genuinely can’t do it, there’s always a way to dismiss it without completing. Everyday tasks can be a simple Mark Done.
Built to resist you
Orbit Alarm is built to stop that version of you specifically.
Locks to maximum the instant it rings and keeps re-applying it, so turning the phone down mid-ring does nothing. On by default.
A snooze limit you set per alarm, shown on screen as you use it, with an optional penalty that shortens each one.
A real escape hatch for emergencies, but a skill-based challenge rather than a free pass. Can be switched off per alarm.
Swiping the app away from Recents doesn’t stop it. Give it Do Not Disturb access and a battery-saving exclusion, and it rings through those too.
Beyond the morning
The same discipline applied to everything else you’d rather put off.
Chained countdown sequences for cooking, workouts or focus blocks. One step rolls straight into the next.
A full-screen ambient visual and soundscape to drift off in, with a bedtime signal and its own optional barcode lock.
Dismiss your alarm and get the local forecast and a short daily insight, a reason to check your phone that isn’t doom-scrolling.
Fourteen original tones
Every tone is an original sci-fi composition, including a gradual wake-up ramp that builds in volume, and a randomiser that keeps every morning a little different.
