Orbit Alarm guide
How snooze limits work
Snooze is useful until it isn’t. Orbit Alarm lets you keep snooze but put firm limits on it. All of these are set per alarm, in the alarm editor.
Snooze length
Under SNOOZE OVERRIDE, turn snooze on or off and set how long each snooze lasts: anywhere from 1 to 30 minutes. The default is 5.
Limit how many times you can snooze
MAX SNOOZES caps how many snoozes you get. The alarm screen shows how many you have left, such as “2 of 3 snoozes left”. Once you’ve used them all, the snooze button goes and you have to complete the alarm’s challenge to stop it.
- Free version: 1 to 3 snoozes (default 3).
- With Premium: 0 to 10, or Unlimited.
On the free version, once you’ve hit the limit you may see Watch Ad for One More Snooze. The alarm goes quiet while the ad plays. Watch it to the end and you get the snooze; close it early and the alarm comes straight back. If no ad is available, it tells you so and you carry on with the challenge.
Make each snooze shorter
Switch on SHRINK SNOOZE EACH PRESS and each snooze is half as long as the last, down to a minimum of 1 minute. With a 10-minute snooze that’s 10, then 5, then 2, then 1. The longer you put it off, the less you get.
See the countdown
If you open the app while snoozing, you’ll see a small countdown card. To have it fill the screen instead, switch on Full-Screen Snooze Countdown in Settings, under ALARM SAFETY.
A setup that works for a lot of people
- Snooze length: 9 or 10 minutes.
- MAX SNOOZES: 1 or 2.
- SHRINK SNOOZE EACH PRESS: on.
- A challenge switched on, so the last one can’t be tapped away.
