Selenic Orders documentation
Documentation
Everything needed to set up Selenic Orders: the tablets, the files your ERP exchanges with them, and the templates that shape what goes back out.
Getting started
A picture-led Quick Start, then setting up the tablets: the setup checklist, your licence key, choosing how data moves, and what a sync does.
02Entering everything by hand (manually)
No ERP needed: enter products and customers manually on the tablet, take orders, then print them or collect them as spreadsheet files.
03Connect a folder on the tablet
Step by step: choosing the tablet folder your files arrive in, with Android's folder picker, and what the app creates inside it.
04Connect an FTP or SFTP server
Step by step: pointing the tablets at your own SFTP, FTPS or FTP server, testing the connection, and the folders the app creates there.
05Send orders to Google Drive
Step by step: signing in to Google Drive so orders and new customers arrive in your Drive. Drive sends orders out only; it cannot supply a catalogue.
06Connecting your ERP
How your ERP and the app exchange files: the folder layout, file naming, formats and what comes back.
07CSV, JSON and XML files
How to produce files the importer accepts, in each of the three formats, with downloadable sample files taken from the app itself.
08Products file
Every field of a products import file in CSV, JSON and XML, with a complete example that imports as it stands.
09Customers file
Every field of a customers import file in CSV, JSON and XML, with a complete example that imports as it stands.
10Categories file
Every field of a categories import file in CSV, JSON and XML, with a complete example that imports as it stands.
11Promotions file
Every field of a promotions import file in CSV, JSON and XML, with a complete example that imports as it stands.
12Announcements file
Every field of a announcements import file in CSV, JSON and XML, with a complete example that imports as it stands.
13Delivery methods file
Every field of a delivery methods import file in CSV, JSON and XML, with a complete example that imports as it stands.
14Users file
Every field of a users import file in CSV, JSON and XML, with a complete example that imports as it stands.
15Import profiles and field mapping
Step by step: telling the app which of your columns holds which field, so your system's export can be read without changing it.
16Reshape Feed
Step by step: rearranging an export the column mapping cannot read, with a short Liquid template, before the mapping sees it.
17Import field reference
Every column the app recognises when importing products, customers, prices and more: what goes in each, with an example from the sample files.
18Export templates
Shaping the order and customer files your ERP receives with Liquid templates, and every field available.
19Liquid tags
The Liquid tags a Selenic Orders export template can use: loops, conditions, assign, capture, comments and whitespace control, with examples.
20Liquid filters
Every filter an export template can use in Selenic Orders: escaping for CSV, XML and JSON, dates, arithmetic and rounding, slicing, and the standard text filters.
21Liquid objects
Every object and property an export template can read in Selenic Orders: orders, line items, customers and addresses, with the type of each and what it holds.
22Liquid recipes
Worked Selenic Orders export templates: one row per order, skipping zero-quantity lines, export order codes, settlement discounts and date formats.
